T O P I C R E V I E Wsuper_bullhi everyone, let me first congratulate you on this great forum. i have been going through the various topics and 'Spells and Rituals' caught my eye.i am curious abt Wicca and i want to know if anyone believes in the evil eye.i wanted to know if there r any simple methods to stay clear of it.light and love,super_bull Annie KuzmaThe only thing I know about the "Evil Eye" is,when I was a little girl, my grandparents came from Italy. And everytime my Nana got mad, she gave everyone "The Evil Eye".And they ran!!StarLover33Oh yes,The eyes are extremely powerful, for instance do we not feel intimidated when someone is staring at us? Or when someone stares you down in a staring contest? The eyes help us image pictures and colors. The eyes help energy, such as your thoughts, to move outside the body (sorry I don't sound very scientific, but I hope you get my drift.) I believe the evil eye, is when someone stares right in your eyes (I think) and they image evil acts coming upon you, the eye then sends the energy to manifest. Most people, like myself, will give a mean eye to "EXPRESS" that they're upset and angry. This is normal, a form of comunication. But those people who have intentions to hurt you, will use the evil eye to manifest their thoughts into reality. It's important that you remain spiritually protected, and cause no harm to others, so that the evil eye will remain impotent against you. -StarLover super_bull thats the sorta reply i was looking for.....what i meant by evil eye is like -take an examplei go to party and *somebody* just goes on saying how much weight i have put on ; the very next day i fall ill and lose the little weight i have gained i wanted to know how u can protect yourself against such people. StarLover33Super_Bull do you meditate everyday? It's important that you do meditate as much as you can. Meditation is the very key that unlocks the hidden powers of your body and mind. It really does becuase when I meditate I feel better the next day. It does improve a lot of your daily thoughts and attitudes. What really works for me, is meditation while imaging white light surrounding my body. Then I repeat: I'm surrounded by white light, and nothing can harm me." I say that over and over again until I feel certain that it's working. So that's my protection ritual. Sometimes I'll image rainbows and purple light all over my body, and that's for health and attitude reasons. Although I do have a weakness for any kind of trance so I still remain in the relaxed mode. Anyhow it still works. Since I started school my vow is to meditate every single day as best I can. -StarLover super_bullhi starlover33,no, i don't meditate;i always think of starting it but keep procrastinating it i have heard great things abt meditation and yoga. For yoga you need a qualified personal trainer , something i can't afford right now(being in college )but i suppose i can try meditation PS- being from India ,let me tell u a way of being protected against the evil eye - people wear a small black mark/dot on the left side of the face (lower cheek). super_bullhi starlover33,no, i don't meditate;i always think of starting it but keep procrastinating it i have heard great things abt meditation and yoga. For yoga you need a qualified personal trainer , something i can't afford right now(being in college )but i suppose i can try meditation PS- being from India ,let me tell u a way of being protected against the evil eye - people wear a small black mark/dot on the left side of the face (lower cheek). LunargirlI have learned some Reiki, which is Universal Love Energy, and it surprised me that one can send Reiki from the eyes.So I suppose the reverse is true, when someone has a bad intention. It is important, however, if one is going to believe in the metaphysical harm of something, that they seek out its remedy.Otherwise they run the risk of harming themsleves the most by their own superstition! Lunargirlsuper_bullhi lunargirl, what do you mean by-'otherwise they run the risk of harming themselves the most by their own superstition'.do you practise Reiki?LunargirlHi superbull, yes, I practice Reiki -- I had my attunement in July. So far I have only used it on myself, my partner, cats, and friends. People can accumulate a lot of fears, especially about metaphysical subjects. We can really "spook" ourselves when we hear stories about something uncanny, and part of the time we love it -- like children wanting to hear a ghost story. What I'm saying is that if we don't check it out or learn a remedy for a situation, then all we're left with is the superstition. And superstitions can build up into a large fearful state of mind, which is the potential harm. I just wanted to remind people of that.Like, this thread is cool because we have you asking for info, and how to deal with it. Does that make more sense? When I encounter a "prana vulture" whose energy disturbs me, I visualize that I am surrounded by mirrors that reflect outward, so that whatever the person is sending toward me, or however they see me, is reflected back on them. That leaves me some space inside from which I can detach from their energy and calm myself. I think if you did a search on Lindaland on psychic self-protection you might find some good info that might help you. Lunargirlsuper_bullHi Lunargirl, thanks for your reply your 2nd post cleared up a lot of things for me.i can identify with what u said abt superstitions harming people.i have neptune in the 8th house trining sun in the 12th house and i have a lot of fear which is just imaginary more than anything else.i am learning to deal with it.i searched google for psychic self protection and found a lot of info ; i saved it but am still to go through it. your method regarding mirrors sounds interesting and practical too. LunargirlHey, super_bull, I also have Neptune in the 8th, and it trines my Chiron in the 12th! So I think we both have insight into the power of the imagination, the unseen, and fear!Which is probably why we've both ended up at Lindaland, asking questions! LOL!cheers!RandallGood advice, Lunargirl! ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Otherwise they run the risk of harming themsleves the most by their own superstition!
